SkyLite & SkyNet Framework License Copyright (c) 2026 HC Kim. All rights reserved. https://www.theskylite.com The SkyLite and SkyNet Frameworks are owned by HC Kim ("Owner"), who also does business under the trade name "The SkyLite". The Owner grants this license. This repository and package contain two kinds of material, licensed differently: Part A Template and sample code - the project files, Program.cs, sample pages, configuration samples and folder structure in this repository. Part B The SkyLite and SkyNet Frameworks - SkyLite.dll, SkyNet.dll and any other compiled file distributed as part of either framework, whether in this repository, in a NuGet package or by any other means (each, and together, "the Framework"). =============================================================================== PART A - TEMPLATE AND SAMPLE CODE (MIT License) =============================================================================== Permission is hereby granted, free of charge, to any person obtaining a copy of the template and sample code, to use, copy, modify, merge, publish, distribute, sublicense and/or sell copies of it, and to permit persons to whom it is furnished to do so, subject to the following condition: The above copyright notice and this permission notice shall be included in all copies or substantial portions of the template and sample code. THE TEMPLATE AND SAMPLE CODE IS PROVIDED "AS IS", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NONINFRINGEMENT. IN NO EVENT SHALL THE OWNER BE LIABLE FOR ANY CLAIM, DAMAGES OR OTHER LIABILITY, WHETHER IN AN ACTION OF CONTRACT, TORT OR OTHERWISE, ARISING FROM, OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THE TEMPLATE AND SAMPLE CODE OR THE USE OR OTHER DEALINGS IN IT. =============================================================================== PART B - THE SKYLITE AND SKYNET FRAMEWORKS (Proprietary License) =============================================================================== The Framework is proprietary software. It is licensed, not sold. By downloading, installing or using the Framework, you agree to these terms. 1. License Grant This free license is available only to Eligible Users. You are an "Eligible User" if you are an individual, company or other organization whose total gross revenue in the previous 12 months was less than ten million U.S. dollars (USD 10,000,000), or the equivalent in other currencies. Revenue is counted together with every entity that controls you, is controlled by you or is under common control with you. A nonprofit organization, school or government body counts its total annual budget or funding instead of revenue. If you build an application with the Framework for someone else, both you and the person or organization the application is built for must be Eligible Users. People who only use an application built with the Framework, without developing with it, do not need their own license. If you are an Eligible User, the Owner grants you a free, non-exclusive, non-transferable, worldwide, royalty-free license to: a) download, install and use the Framework to develop, test and run your own applications, including commercial applications; and b) redistribute the unmodified Framework only as an integral part of an application you build with it, and not on its own. If you are not an Eligible User, you may download, install and use the Framework free of charge for 90 days to evaluate it, for development and testing only and not to run any application in production. After the evaluation, or to run an application in production, you need a separate written commercial license from the Owner. If you stop being an Eligible User, you may keep using the Framework for 90 days from that day; after that you need a commercial license to continue. To obtain a commercial license, contact the Owner at https://www.theskylite.com. 2. Restrictions You may not, and may not permit others to: a) modify, adapt, translate or create derivative works of the Framework; b) decompile, disassemble or otherwise reverse engineer the Framework, except and only to the extent that applicable law expressly permits it despite this restriction; c) sell, rent, lease, sublicense or distribute the Framework on its own, or as part of any library, toolkit, template or package whose main purpose is to provide the Framework or its functionality to others; d) use the Framework, or any knowledge gained from inspecting it, to build a framework, library or product that competes with the Framework; e) remove, alter or obscure any copyright, trademark or other notice in the Framework; f) use the names "SkyLite Framework", "SkyNet Framework", "The SkyLite" or "HC Kim" to endorse or promote your products without the Owner's prior written permission. 3. Ownership The Framework, including all copies and all intellectual property rights in it, is and remains the property of the Owner. All rights not expressly granted in this license are reserved. 4. Updates The Owner may release new versions of the Framework under different terms. Each version is governed by the license included with it. 5. Termination This license ends automatically if you breach any of its terms. On termination you must stop using the Framework and delete all copies in your possession. Sections 3, 6, 7 and 8 survive termination. 6. No Warranty THE FRAMEWORK IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE AND NONINFRINGEMENT. YOU USE THE FRAMEWORK AT YOUR OWN RISK. 7. Limitation of Liability TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL THE OWNER BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA OR BUSINESS, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE FRAMEWORK OR THIS LICENSE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. THE OWNER'S TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM SHALL NOT EXCEED ZERO U.S. DOLLARS (USD 0), THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE FRAMEWORK. 8. Governing Law This license is governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Wake County, North Carolina. 9. Entire Agreement This license is the entire agreement between you and the Owner about the Framework, unless you and the Owner sign a separate written license for the Framework, which then governs. If any provision is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in effect. Questions: https://www.theskylite.com
